Oregon Manufacturing Extension Program (OMEP) consultants bring business acumen, specialized methods, and their own manufacturing company experience to develop demand-driven strategies and build rock-solid operating systems that provide predictability and stability. Their consulting firm aims to help small and mid-sized Oregon manufacturers become more competitive in the global marketplace by providing customized methodologies that bring bottom-line results.
OMEP began as a non-profit organization affiliated with the Oregon Institute of Technology and is now fully independent. OMEP has served over 400 Oregon manufacturing companies and completed nearly 1,000 projects. Speaking on behalf of their organization is David Looper, Consultant. David will share what it is his company does and how they help their clients become more efficient, profitable and bankable. This presentation will equip bankers with the right tools to identify businesses that would benefit from their consulting services.
With 30 years of industry experience, David has served as the senior operations executive for a number of high-profile companies prior to joining OMEP. David learned early in his career he was better at business than engineering, and thus has a unique knack for quantifying projected impacts in both dollars and operational performance. In addition to his expertise in manufacturing business operations, Dave is also a business transition expert. By understanding the interaction of individual, family, and business life cycles, David brings a system approach to exit strategy and succession planning development, as well as resolving family business problems.
